Known Bugs With MinimizeToTray
For a complete list of bugs and their current status, view our bugzilla entries.
-turbo mode is severely broken. - If Thunderbird is minimized to the tray and Tools->Read Mail is selected from within Firefox, then a 2nd instance of Thunderbird will load. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220196 for more details.
- You can minimize an email opened in a seperate window. This minimized window gets the normal Thunderbird tray icon, making it indistiguishable from the normal Thunderbird application tray icon. Also, the minimized email window gets a right clickable menu that doesn't belong to it (see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=104670&postdays=0&postorder=asc&postsperpage=15&start=180&sid=091ff64a1681d5423730fb0f98c26048)
- Thunderbird may give this error message after uninstalling the extension, "Cannot find binary component: Please make sure you have the required DLLs before installing the extension.". This error message can be safely ignored and will not come back the next time Thunderbird loads.
- If Firefox is minimized, and an accept cookie dialog window pops up (because the users local settings requires the user to accept cookies), then once a button is pressed on that cookie dialog window, the Firefox window is restored.
